This was another kid’s favorite. Instead of just sprinkling toast with cinnamon and sugar, I made a thin cinnamon frosting that we spread over buttered toast.
This is very easy to make, Fill a small bowl with powdered sugar, then a very small amount of milk, mixing carefully until you get a thin frosting. Careful, it is easy to add too much and end up with soup instead of frosting. After you get the thickness you desire, add a few drops of vanilla extract, then add cinnamon. Be generous with the cinnamon until you get a nice shade of light to medium brown.
Spread this frosting over buttered toast, using a good artisan bread or any bread you like.
This not exactly gourmet, but it sure bring smiles to young kid’s faces, especially if they helped make it.
