Jennie was born at McConnell AFB hospital on this date.
In those days, fathers were not allowed in the delivery room, so I had a long wait in the waiting area. I remember Andi yelling at me like a sailor for putting her in so much pain during labor. It was then I became convinced women are much stronger than men.
All turned out well when we took a beautiful baby home a couple days later.
I do not have many baby pictures of Jennie. Because we spent so little time living together while she grew up, I have always felt she got the rotten end of the deal when it came to fathers. We have never stopped getting together though over the years, as often as we could, living so far apart.
