We started our trip flying to San Jose California and renting a car. We drove down through Santa Cruz and on to a beautiful bed and breakfast in Pacific Grove, a small community that is part of the Monterey, California metropolitan area.

We booked two nights at each of the following areas:

Monterey, Pebble Beach and Carmel

Cambria, Paso Robles and Hearst Castle

Solvang and Santa Barbara
