I know from my personal experience that this is true. Today’s higher education is often too much indoctrination, not how to learn for yourself and solve your own future life issues.

What school did teach me was how to go about solving problems and a method for discovering solutions, which is invaluable.

I spent almost five years getting an engineering degree only to discover, when entering the workforce as an engineer, how little I actually knew. Problem solving, logic and the right attitude helped me gain experience and expertise.
